Hello 2009!!
I know I've been M.I.A. We're well into the new year, but guess what? I'm back suckas!
Lets take a look back.....More notably, lets take a look if I accomplished last year's New Year's resolutions......
1. Eat healthier. Try to avoid pigging out when under the influence.
-I kind of did. I can tell you I'm in much better shape than I was last year. And you'll find out why very soon.
2. Keep up the daily workout routine.
-I did for how many months, but when the holidays arrived I had to take a 2-3 week break due to personal reasons. I'm right back in it though with a much more efficient and intense workout routine. I hate it, but I love it! =P
3. Keep close ties with old and new friends.
-No doubt! I got the best pals in the world!
4. Travel more.
-I didn't get to travel that much. Mostly Vegas & the bay, but I did get to pay a visit to the eastcoast. Went to Philly and Jersey, and I must say I dig the cold. Sometimes....
5. Save money!
-Failed! You always tell yourself I'm gonna save money, but the more you get it the more you spend it.
6. Try and take a picture a day, or video.
-Failed. I got some cool pictures though from this past year. Memories.......
7. Research my business plans. And if it's possible, get it started!
-I had a few brialliant ideas. Never went through with it though. Thought about starting a basketball league, but the resources there flopped. Also, I had a interesting discussion about starting a distribution company. All via online. We got the manpower and resources, but this would take alot of time and investment. We'll see whats up with that! And there's investing in the rice business. You know how much rice cost nowadays? Anyways shhhhhhhhh! Don't bite my ideas!
8. Get goony (reignite that flame with floorplay)...ya dig?
-Failed. The older I get, the more I find no time for myself. Makes you think....I barely have any time for myself right now. I don't even want to think about when I have a family to support because for sure all my blood, sweat, and tears are gonna be for them. That's why I've come to the conclusion that these next few years are for me. Its the years you're allowed to be selfish and do the things you want. You live once. Might as well take advantage.
So much has happened this year already, both good and bad. First black President, Lakers 1st place in the NBA, economic crisis, layoffs, John D is a dad, new friends and relationships.....So far, so good. Just staying positive and counting my blessings. It's all smiles over here, and I wish you the same.
And as for new resolutions.....No need! I've learned why wait til a new year to do something? The minute you think of something....DO IT!
"If it's that important to you, why wait for New Year's....start now...today".
